Royal Institution, Singapore in collaboration with Royal Institution, Philippines and Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) held its International Conference and Conferment Ceremony (ICCC) at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Nieto Hall, Sumacub Main Campus, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines on June 25, 2016.
FDr. Engr. Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba, President of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, welcomed the participants and conferees of the ICCC, followed by the Opening Address of RI Philippines President and RI Singapore Chief Compliance Officer FDr. Dr. Helen S. Molano during the Opening Ceremony.
During the Conference, FDr. Dr. Athena Georgene Ang, President of the Royal Institution, Singapore discussed the topic “Social Innovations and Inclusive Growth in Education in a Knowledge-Based Society” in accordance to the event’s theme “Social innovations and Inclusive Growth”. After the conference, 3 Research papers were presented presentations were conducted. One of the research presenters is the Chairperson of the University Research Ethics Committee of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Dr. Jean N. Guillasper who presented her research “Compliance of Government/Public and Private Healthcare Facilities in Region III with Hospital Waste Management Protocols”
The highlight of the event was the Conferment of Hon. FDr. Atty. Dr. Tonisito M.C. Umali, Assistant Secretary for Legal and Legislative Affairs of the Department of Education AS Honorary Fellow, the highest and the most prestigious award and recognition bestowed by the Royal Institution.
NEUST President, FDr. Engr. Dr. Feliciana P. Jacoba and Hon. FDr. Atty. Dr. Tonisito M.C. Umalis were conferred as Doctor Fellow and 35 professionals were conferred as Research Fellow, Fellows, and Senior Members of the Royal Institution, Singapore.
The Pledge of Loyalty was officiated by Dr. Jean N. Guillasper, FRIEdr of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. The event ended with a closing address from Dr. Glenn S. Cabacang, Vice President for Continuing Education.
