RI Officials Pay Courtesy Visit to the Office of the Civil Service Commission, Malé, Maldives – Officials of the Royal Institution of Singapore paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on 8th of May 2016. The delegation was warmly received by top level officials of the commission, headed by Dr. Aly Shameem, CSC Chairman and President, Ms. Jameela Ali Khalid, CSC Vice Chairman and Vice President. During the visit, both parties exchanged insights about the respective parties’ mission, vision, goals, objectives, and directions. The exchange of ideas also provided an opportunity for the Maldives Civil Service Commission and Royal Institution to explore into possible collaboration opportunities for the betterment of lives of the Maldivian Government employees as well as the general public.
In the same visit, Almacrest International College’s (AIC, Sabah, Malaysia) President and CEO, Miss Stephanie Yen, also discussed about the two hundred (200) RI’s Scholarship offerings applicable to select courses tenable in her school. The tuition-based scholarship was made available and extended to the employees of the government of Maldives, where they get the chance to go on further studies and complete Diploma programmes of their choice in AIC.
CSC’s representatives include Commissioners Mr. Shaheed Mohamed, Mr. Zakariyya Hussain, Ms. Fathimath Renee Abdul Sattar, CSC Secretary General – Dr. Mohamed Faizal, and Director for International Relations Mr. Ahmed Husham.Courtesy call delegates also include RISG Chancellor – FDr. Samuel M.
