Honorable Rev. Fr. Dr. Herminio V. Dagohoy, OP, CPA received the title of Honorary Fellow, the highest and most prestigious award bestowed by the Royal Institution, Singapore, during its 6th Global Congress and Conferment Ceremony on December 12, 2015 at the Manila Pavilion Hotel, Philippines.
Fr. Dagohoy is the Rector Magnificus (President) of the University of Santo Tomas; and a member of the Board of Trustees of Aquinas University of Legazpi, Colegio de San Juan de Letran (Intramuros), Letran-Calamba, Letran-Manaoag, Angelicum College - Quezon City and Angelicum School in Jaro, Iloilo. He finished Bachelor of Accountancy at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 1985, became a Certified Public Accountant in 1986 and later on professed the evangelical vows in the Order of Preachers on May 10, 1988. As a Dominican, Fr. Dagohoy obtained the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the Philippine Dominican Centre for Institutional Studies in 1990; Bachelor in Sacred Theology at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Ecclesiastical Faculty of Sacred Theology in 1993 (Cum Laude); Master of Arts in Philippine Studies in Philosophy at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2000; Licentiate in Philosophy at the UST Ecclesiastical Faculty of Philosophy in 2011 (Magna Cum Laude); Doctorate in Philosophy (Summa Cum Laude) also at UST in 2012; and Doctorate in Pedagogy (Honoris Causa) from Angeles University Foundation in 2015. His areas of specialisation include Ancient Philosophy, Theodicy, Social Philosophy, and Hermeneutics.
