More than two hundred professionals of various disciplines from all over the world attended and witnessed Royal Institution (RI) Singapore’s 6th Global Congress and Conferment Ceremony with the theme ‘New Paradigm of Leadership in Business & Industry, Education and Public Administration’ on December 12, 2015 at the Manila Pavilion Hotel, Philippines.
The congress was addressed by four prominent speakers: Hon. Ar. Yolanda David Reyes, Commissioner of Professional Regulation Commission; Dr. Jennifer Chan Kim Lian, Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy from the Universiti Malaysia Sabah; Ms. Natasha Oickle, Director for International Relations of Australian Skills Institute; and H.E. Maj. Gen. John Gomes, psc (Retd.), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the Philippines. The plenary session speakers shared their insights on the New Paradigm of Leadership in their respective fields of Business & Industries, Education, and Public Administration.
The event’s highlight is the Conferment of Hon. Rev. Fr. Dr. Herminio V. Dagohoy, Rector Magnificus of the Royal and Pontifical University of Santos Tomas as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institution, Singapore. This is the highest and the most prestigious award and recognition bestowed by the Royal Institution. 164 professionals were also conferred with the titles of Research Fellow, Fellow (Life), Fellow, Senior Member and Member of the Royal Institution, Singapore.
